主讲人简介：
Manpreet Singh Hora. Associate Professor at the Scheller College of Business, Georgia Institute of Technology. Ph.D. in Operations Management. His research examines managerial decision-making in mitigating losses and enhancing firm performance in supply chain management. Dr. Hora has published in journals such as Management Science, Journal of Operations Management and Production and Operations Management (POM). His research awards include the Chan Hahn Best Paper Award from the Academy of Management and his work has been covered by NPR, CNN Money and Bloomberg Business Week. He serves as a Senior Editor for the POM journal.
Manpreet Singh Hora，美国佐治亚理工学院施勒商学院副教授，运作管理博士。他的研究考察了减少损失情景下管理的决策过程，以及供应链管理中企业绩效提升问题。在管理学顶级期刊《Management Science》, 《Journal of Operations Management》，《Production and Operations Management (POM)》发表多篇文章。并获得管理学会Chan Hahn最佳论文奖。现任POM杂志高级编辑。 https://www.scheller.gatech.edu/directory/faculty/hora/index.html

EMPIRICAL RESEARCH IN OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT
The objective of this seminar is to provide and discuss questions and opportunities employing empirical methods in operations management research with specific focus on papers in operations managementand supply chain managementthat employ secondary data.
